Bridgerton's aristocrat Lady Danbury is a Leeds United fan with a broad Yorkshire accent in real life.
Adjoa Andoh, who has played the straight-talking character since series one, wowed Leeds United fans online when she confirmed she is a Leeds United fan. The 59-year-old actress shared a snap of herself in the signature black and yellow hoodie and branded herself "man of the match".
Many fans of the beloved Netflix show may not know that Adjoa lives in Leeds. After LUFC's win on Saturday, she said on Twitter: "MOT!!! #lufc."

@KittyBluePaws branded the post "bloody iconic", while @leealufc said, "as if I didn't love Lady Danbury so much already, I love her even more now." @basbitsundania said: "No way Lady Danbury is a Leeds fan."
Many shared that they did not realise she was a fan nor that she lives in the city. She was raised in a farming community in Gloucestershire and was the 'only black girl for miles around', with a strong Yorkshire accent - previously confessing that she felt singled out.
The daughter of an English mother and Ghanaian father, she moved to the farming community from Leeds as a child. "In a small West Country farming village, to be mixed race with a strong Leeds accent meant I was already a different order of gravy," she said.
Some of her family had Romany heritage and she says she often felt "as though I was not seen for myself, although that also meant I was more resilient."
"There were levels of familiarity, and people getting to know us. Having a strong Yorkshire accent was as much a part of that as my race," she said.
But now she is thankful to be part of Bridgerton's diverse cast. She said: "I can’t tell you how touched I have been to see the little black girls posting photos of themselves in a Regency dress, dressed up like princesses."
She won a place at drama school in the 60s but never took it up, becoming a choreographer and a history teacher instead. Adjoa sees similarities between Lady Danbury and her mum.
In series two of the racy period drama, her character Lady Danbury takes in the Sharma family from India - sisters Kate, played by Simone Ashley, Edwina, Charithra Chandran, and their mother Lady Mary, Shelley Conn.
Both sisters ultimately fall for the charms of troubled Lord Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey and Lady Danbury knows some hard decisions need making, with potentially life-changing consequences for all of those involved.
