Weddings can bring out the best in people - but they can bring out the worst too.
From bridesmaid squabbles to plus-one snubs, there's plenty that can go wrong, and all too often people end up falling out in the lead-up to the big day.
One bride hoping to avoid any fallouts might end up facing more drama than she bargained for, as she wants to cut one of her bridesmaids out of the wedding party.
But she thinks her friend will understand. Another one of the bridesmaids isn't convinced, however.
She also slammed the bride's reasoning after her pal revealed she wants to make the changes since the wedding guest is 'getting on her nerves'.
Stunned by the bride's behaviour, her confidante criticised her plan in a post to Reddit. In her message, she explained the bride, Becca, asked their mutual friend, Anna, to be a bridesmaid months ago.
Unfortunately, she's since changed her mind. "Becca called me last night out of the blue that she no longer wants Anna to be her bridesmaid because Anna has been 'getting on her nerves'," the post outlined.
It doesn't sound like she has much sympathy for the bride's situation, though. "When I asked her for details she couldn't give many other than little things I feel are not that big of a deal," she wrote.
"The three of us have been friends since high school so she knows and has known how Anna is, and in my opinion she should have thought this through before asking her to be a bridesmaid."
The bridesmaid then explained Anna 'can be a bit of an airhead' and recently messed up a brunch reservation during the bachelorette weekend, but she said everything was soon fixed.
So while she forgave Anna's mishap, she's less than impressed with the bride. "Anna has always been a great friend to Becca and it actually makes me furious that Becca could be so cold."
Yet, the bride doesn't see things that way. In fact, she still thinks her friendship with Anna would continue if she fired her, according to the post's author. She also grew mad when the writer admitted she didn't think their friendship would last such a move.
But in bad news for the bride, several commenters were quick to agree with her confidante on the matter. "This is getting ridiculous. Lol. Can you actually fire a bridesmaid?" one person asked.
Meanwhile, someone commented: "Weddings are some of the most dramatic thing on this planet, the fact that people call removing a bridesmaid 'firing' just shows how over thought the role is lol.
"I thought she was her boss or something."
