As friends and family gather together to enjoy a wedding, they join in honour of celebrating the happy bride and groom. However, certain guests sometimes tend to get wrapped up in the exciting celebrations of the special day and make silly errors, which cause lasting effects.
The mother of one blushing bride appeared to "ruin" her daughter's big dress reveal to her bridesmaids - but thankfully, it transpired that the doting parent was just trying to help. In a TikTok video, which has a whopping 17.2 million views to date, Phaedra Peer admitted that she's "still not over" the unforgettable part of her wedding day.
The footage shows an oak door opening onto the beautiful bride - who is bursting with anticipation to show her bridesmaids her iconic white dress.
However, Phaedra's mum quickly steps in front of her to walk out of the door, which seems to ruins the special moment.
Captioning the post of the TikTok, the bride wrote: "Still not over this."
She added: "When you're been waiting six months to do a wedding dress reveal for your bridesmaids... and your mother ruins it."
As an initial reaction, TikTokers rushed to the comments to share their mirrored shocked thoughts about the ordeal.
One viewer suggested: "Awww maybe she was just trying to get out of the way and enjoy the moment with everyone. Or not."
"All I could see at FIRST is how stunning you and the dress are...hopefully it was an innocent mistake, I would be so upset," a second agreed.
Another wrote: "Aww she looks like she was rushing to remove herself from your spot. Unfortunately it's one of those 'good intentions don't count' moments."
However, there's more than meets the eye with the original shocking clip, as in a follow up video, footage actually shows the full scenario from another angle.
In fact, the mum didn't ruin the moment at all - as it appeared to show that she merely moved out of shot to also witness the bridesmaids' reactions.
Both mum and daughter had to turn a corner to witness the exciting reaction, which was unharmed by the small mishap.
"Just sharing a funny memory from the most special day of my life," the bride jokingly admitted.
