Brice Sensabaugh gets invite to the NBA combine

Brice Sensabaugh’s dreams of playing in the NBA sooner rather than later took one step closer today. Sensabaugh has been announced as one of 78 players who have been invited to the NBA draft combine. The combine will take place in Chicago from May 15-21.

The OSU freshman has maintained his college eligibility meaning he can return to the Buckeyes should it he feel he could improve his draft stock with another year in college. Sensabaugh has until May 31 to make that decision. However, with the recent addition of Evan Mahaffy from the transfer portal, it seems unlikely that the Buckeye coaching staff believes the star freshman will be back.

Sensabaugh led OSU in scoring last season with 16.3 points per game. However, some believe that Sensabaugh may be a risk at the next level because of his strong frame and aggressive play. NBA refs may not give him the benefit of the doubt by calling more fouls with that type of play.

Could Sensabaugh be Ohio State’s second one and done in a row, joining Malaki Branham who was selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the 2022 draft? We’ll find out as he takes on some of the best in the coming days to see where he stacks up.
