Brian McFadden has gushed about his ‘brilliant’ baby daughter and opened up about his wedding day plans as he prepares to lock down his relationship with PE teacher Danielle Parkinson.
The 41-year-old former Westlife singer welcomed his third child, a daughter named Ruby with 39-year-old wife-to-be Danielle last May.
The dad-of-three – who also shares daughters Molly, 20, and Lily-Sue, 19, with ex-wife Kerry Katona, 41, who he was married to from 2002 until 2006 – is soon to hit the road with his Boyzlife co-star Keith Duffy, 47.
And while out promoting their latest album and upcoming tour, Brian explained what a dream his latest daughter is – and how he hopes to finally wed Danielle after proposing to her way back in 2019.
Speaking to OK!, Brian gushed about baby Ruby saying: “She’s brilliant. She’s sleeping right through, waking up after me!”
He also hinted he will struggle to leave Ruby behind when he hits the road with Keith later this year.
He said: “She’s still very young. We balance our life very well. We make sure our home life does come first.
“We still love what we do, but it will never trump the time we spend with our families. It’s not like we’re gone for six months any more.”
And turning his attention to his future with Danielle, Brian said they are hoping their wedding day will end up happening sooner rather than later after they were forced to abandon their plans to swap vows at the beginning of this year due to Covid restrictions.
He explained: “We planned to get married in South Africa this January, but it went back into the red zone.
“We’ve put a hold on it until everything gets back to normal.
“It was getting a bit stressful so we said, ‘We have a baby at the moment so we’ll concentrate on her and then when things have settled down we’ll go for it’.”
Brian proposed to Danielle back in December 2019 after three years of dating.
He broke the news to fans by sharing a loved up snap of himself with his wife-to-be on social media, and wrote at the time: “FYI I got engaged to the beautiful @DaniParky. And yes I’m very very happy xxxx.”
The pair fell for each other after being introduced by the singer Cole Paige and had initially planed to marry in 2021 but plans were scuppered by the Covid-19 pandemic – and their subsequent January 2022 nuptial plans were torpedoed by the pandemic again.
Brian and Danielle were thrilled to welcome their daughter, Ruby, in May last year – and the couple suffered an agonising miscarriage in August 2020.
Danielle had fallen pregnant following the couple’s first round of IVF but was left devastated when the baby was lost five weeks into the pregnancy.
Brian has previously been married twice before – to Kerry and also to Vogue Williams who he was married to from 2012 until 2017.
He was also engaged to Australian singer Delta Goodrem in 2007 but they split in 2011 – with Delta later complaining that her romance with Brian damaged her career.
