Brian Dowling took to social media to hit out at a "patronising and offensive" message from a troll on Instagram over a light-hearted comment he made about his daughter on his stories.
The Big Brother star and his husband Arthur Gourounlian, who welcomed their first baby girl Blake back in September, were out for a walk when he told of a common baby incident that happened recently.
He explained to his followers: "Out for a little stroll and she has this pink hat and this pink cardigan/hoodie thing and I picked out this gorgeous pink jumpsuit.
"I got it yesterday, put it on her, and I thought, 'What's that smell?'
"The smell was s**t and it was all up her back and all over the lovely pink little ensemble.
"So now she has pink, pink and I think a navy babygrow with yellow dots. Kids."
While many would understand the common occurrence with babies, one parent saw this and decided to message Brian to make his feelings known.
The person messaged Dowling saying: "Ah Brian, personally speaking, a bit of advice from a father of a beautiful daughter, please tone down the graphics about your little baby.
"I would never talk like that in private and certainly never in public. A bit of respect please."
Brian posted a screenshot of the message to his Instagram and said: "I find this message patronising and offensive. Where's the respect for me!!"
He then shared his reply, which read: "Ah Timothy personally speaking, bit of advice from a father of a beautiful daughter, please don't be contacting me telling me how to speak around my daughter.
"I would never message anyone in private like this and certainly never in public. A bit of respect please."
Defending his publication of the conversation, the reality star said that he doesn't normally share the messages he receives but that this person deserved “a taste of his own medicine.”
He said: "I DON'T always bite back or engage but since becoming a father I feel it's my duty to stick up for myself. I'm giving Timothy a taste of his own medicine."
