Brian Cox 'not going back to America' after election of 'c***' Donald Trump

BRIAN Cox has said he is “not going back to America” after the election of Donald Trump.

The Scottish actor, renowned for playing media mogul Logan Roy in "Succession”, made the comment as he repeatedly labelled the US president a “c**t”.

Appearing on Channel 4’s panel show The Last Leg, the Dundee-born star was asked by host Adam Hills for his views on Trump.

Hills said: "I might be scared of where this is going to go but, what are your thoughts on Donald Trump so far, Brian?"

Cox responded: “He’s a c**t.”

Michelle Wolf, a US comic who was also on the show, said: "They told me that was the one word I wasn't allowed to say and I'm so glad you said it."

Cox said: "Well they never told me what to say.

“I would have been happy not to say it – but if somebody doesn't call him a c**t …”

Hills apologised to the audience for the language, before asking: "Are you not worried about being accosted by Trump fans?"

Cox replied: "Me? I'm not going back to America, for that very reason. No, I mean, they're all idiots anyway."

The Scottish-born actor used to live in Brooklyn, New York. He also previously told The Guardian that he had “a place in Hillsdale on the Massachusetts border in upstate New York”.

“There, I sit on my deck and take in nature. It’s a tremendous, almost religious experience,” Cox said previously.

Reports say that the Golden Globe winner also has a house in north London. It is unclear if this is where he plans to live if he will not return to the US.

Elsewhere on the Channel 4 show, Cox was later asked about the film The Apprentice, which is about Trump’s rise and stars Jeremy Strong – who played his character’s son Kendall in Succession.

Cox said he had not seen Strong’s movie because he “wouldn't watch anything about that c**t I mentioned earlier”.
