NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger is a must-follow during football season.
Baldinger took to Twitter/X on Tuesday to break down film from the Denver Broncos‘ season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
Baldinger’s breakdowns included a few plays from quarterback Bo Nix, who struggled in his NFL debut but battled until the end. Baldinger first showed Nix’s back shoulder throw to Josh Reynolds before halftime which led to a field goal. Then he showed a pass to Courtland Sutton that set up Nix’s touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
“It was tough, but there were some highlights,” Baldinger said of Nix’s first game in the NFL.

Baldinger also reviewed a few plays of Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain covering Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. “That right there is a great matchup,” Baldinger said.
.@Broncos @PatSurtainll v @Seahawks @dkm14 the GAME within the GAME! Great marchup between 2 great players with elite skills #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/6oR1gx2A5M

Baldinger also showed the two safeties that Denver’s defense forced. He also thinks a third safety should have been called:
.@broncos defense recorded 2 safeties in the first half and I think there should have been 3. That was one dominant half of defense #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/loP1JGE7yi

After losing to the Seahawks 26-20 in Week 1, the Broncos will aim to bounce back at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.
