According to The Athletic’s Joe Person, former Carolina Panthers tight ends coach Brian Angelichio is trading blue for purple to join the coaching staff with the Minnesota Vikings.
Angelichio will resume his role as a tight ends coach in Minnesota, while also being bumped to the title of pass game coordinator.
He should have plenty of fun delving into an offense with Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, K.J. Osborn, Irv Smith Jr. and Dalvin Cook at the skilled positions. There are offensive weapons all over the place, and you can rest assured soon-to-be head coach Kevin O’Connell is going to want to make the most of them.
Vikings will be hiring Brian Angelichio as the pass game coordinator/tight ends, per source. Angelichio was tight ends coach in Carolina so the veteran NFL assistant gets a bump in title. @josephperson 1st on his move to Minnesota

Angelichio has drifted from team to team working as a tight ends coach in both college and the NFL for the last 15 years. So this opportunity to step into the role as a pass game coordinator was long overdue.
The staff in Minnesota continues to come together while everyone waits for the official hiring of O’Connell as the new head coach.
