A multinational brewery based in Scotland has now taken their strong national identity feeling one step further by registering a tartan pattern of their own.
BrewDog submitted an application to the Scottish Register of Tartans in May of this year and have recently received a confirmation that their unique pattern is now recognised by the registry.
Designed by Johnstons of Elgin, the new tartan features dark and light blue colours and "was created by the company BrewDog to celebrate the legacy of their Punk IPA beer and their roots in Aberdeenshire".

BrewDog has three venues across Edinburgh - at 50 Lothian Road, 143 Cowgate and 5 New Street - and aims to bring outstanding brews to their customers while keeping the best sustainability practices at heart.
Founded in 2007, BrewDog is known for bold marketing moves, memorable and distinct designs and strong environmental aspirations.
Earlier this year, the beer company partnered with plant-based pioneers TiNDLE to relaunch their food menu across their UK bar network to include more vegetarian options. The brewer has also paid tribute to meat-free food brand Quorn with its latest special-edition ale back in June this year.
