Brentford XI vs Manchester United: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for game today

Brentford have Shandon Baptiste back in the squad for tonight’s Premier League trip to Manchester United.

The midfielder was sent off late in last month’s draw with Leicester but is back after serving his suspension for the weekend’s 3-3 draw against Brighton.

Thomas Frank is without Frank Onyeka and Vitaly Janelt in midfield, but Baptiste is still named on the bench, with the Dane opting for Mikkel Damsgaard to join Mathias Jensen and Christian Norgaard in the middle of the park.

“Frank has a minor, minor injury,” said the Bees boss during his pre-match press conference.

“Vita had the knee problem but very good news: it was a minor injury against Southampton and he was on the grass today which is positive.

“But it will probably be too early for Wednesday night. Frank will be out for Wednesday.”

Club captain Pontus Jansson keeps his place as a third centre-back, while forwards Yoane Wissa and Kevin Schade are among the substitutes as Bryan Mbuemo and Ivan Toney continue their partnership upfront.

Starting XI: Raya, Roerslev, Jansson, Pinnock, Mee, Henry, Damsgaard, Norgaard, Jensen, Mbeumo, Toney.

Subs: Hickey, Schade, Dasilva, Wissa, Jorgensen, Ghoddos, Strakosha, Baptiste, Stevens.
