Brentford have reportedly bid £30million for Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson.
The 22-year-old has been the subject of interest from Aston Villa and West Ham in recent days, but another Premier League rival Brentford are said to have launched a bid.
That's according to The Sun, who say Forest will reject the bid and that it will take an offer "way beyond £40m" for the Reds to consider a sale this summer. They will face competition from Premier League rivals for his signature though, should Forest wish to sell - which seems unlikely at present.

It is not the first time Brentford have tried to sign Johnson, with Thomas Frank's side most recently trying to sign the Forest academy graduate last summer. They have had a long-standing interest in the youngster, dating back to Forest's time in the Championship.
Last year, Johnson penned a new contract at Forest which saw him commit his future to the City Ground until the summer of 2026. That gives Forest the upper hand in any potential negotiations that could unfold if a tempting offer is received.
Johnson has flourished under head coach Steve Cooper, playing in every Premier League game last season. He scored eight goals and assisted another three in the top flight, while putting in some impressive performances.
There is every chance Johnson will continue to improve if he stays at Forest, given there will be a lower turnover of players this summer and so a more settled and experienced squad.
