Brentford boss Thomas Frank has lashed out at the 'bloodthirsty' personal criticism towards his Danish countryman, Celtic keeper Kasper Schmeichel.
The Hoops No.1 has been under fire in his homeland for his performance in Denmark's Nations League play-off defeat in Portugal, where he was injured and is expected to be out for several weeks.

He said: "In this case, I think the criticism has certainly crossed a line.
"It definitely went after the man. If you're going to give such criticism, you should try to put yourself in the other person's shoes and see how it's received. That's normally my advice
"We should be happy about the debate. But in my opinion, it should be constructively critical.
"I do not believe that the choice of words in question is representative of the Danish media in general.
"Kasper Schmeichel and other national team players know that it comes with the job to be criticised when you make mistakes. And my experience is that they are usually their own biggest critics.
"But when you criticise, you have to do it with style and insight. You must not become perfidious or bloodthirsty. No one benefits from that."
