Brentford 1-2 Newcastle United player ratings: Isak, Pope and Trippier impress in huge win

Newcastle United came from behind to beat Brentford in an incident-packed clash in west London.

Ref Chris Kavanagh pointed to the spot twice in the first-half with Ivan Toney missing the first penalty after a great save from Nick Pope. But he made no mistake the second time around.

Newcastle emerged a different animal in the second-half and rallied through goals from Joelinton and Alexander Isak. The scoreline ended 2-1 which means Newcastle are now back into third-place.
