Brennan Johnson transfer stance
Nottingham Forest reportedly labelled a £30million bid from Brentford for Brennan Johnson "derisory and insulting".
The 22-year-old impressed in helping the Reds secure their top-flight status for another campaign. He scored eight Premier League goals in the season just finished.
His performances have caught the eye of a number of clubs and reports emerged recently that Brentford had submitted a £30m bid for the Reds star.
Samba receives 'brilliant' Forest response
Former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba made his international debut on Friday night for France.
The shot-stopper lined up alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann in Les Bleus' Euro 2024 qualifier against Gibraltar. The 29-year-old kept a clean sheet as his country won 3-0.
Samba left Forest last summer to join French Ligue 1 side RC Lens. He made more than 100 appearances for the Reds.
'Bid' for Bundesliga defender
Nottingham Forest have reportedly bid €10million (£8.5m) for Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.
The former Arsenal centre-back looks set to move on from the Bundesliga club this summer, with a return to the Premier League very much on the cards. Reports in Greece claim that "first contacts have already been made" for Forest to sign the 26-year-old, though there is also interest from West Ham. David Moyes' side are yet to make an offer for Mavropanos.
According to Greek outlet Sportime, both he and Stuttgart have "decided" it is time for him to move on - as they note the player has "grown up" during his three years playing top flight football in Germany.
Exciting Man City ace linked
Manchester City starlet Carlos Borges is among the latest names to be linked with Nottingham Forest.
The Reds are said to have taken an interest in the 19-year-old as they plot their summer transfer business. ESPN report talks are at “a preliminary stage”, while it is unclear whether the Premier League champions would be prepared to sell the teenager or whether a loan would be more likely.
But who is £11 million-rated Borges? We get the lowdown from our colleagues at the Manchester Evening News.
