Brennan Johnson makes Nottingham Forest plea ahead of Tottenham

Brennan Johnson has urged Nottingham Forest to show the same "character" against Tottenham Hotspur next weekend (March 11, 3pm).

Forest came from behind twice to secure a point in their 2-2 draw against Everton on Sunday. Johnson was in the spotlight after bagging a brace to extend the Reds' unbeaten home run.

With preparations underway, the 21-year-old believes the Reds can take confidence and character into their next game in north London. Steve Cooper's men will be hoping to rectify their record on the road.

"We're pleased with the fact that we came from behind twice to get a point but we're really disappointed with the goals we gave away," Johnson explained. "We felt it was a good opportunity for us to get three points but we have to move on.

"In this division there is a lot of pressure on the games towards the bottom of the table and we knew we couldn't afford to lose. We started poorly and didn't get out of the traps quick enough and knew we had to do the basics better in the second half.

"To come back from being behind twice is something that we haven't done yet this season but we overcame that to continue our unbeaten run at home and we'll take that character into the Spurs game."
