Leeds United got their Premier League season off to the perfect start after coming from behind to beat Wolves at Elland Road.
Four players made their debuts for the club, as a goal from Rodrigo and an own-goal from Rayan Ait-Nouri secured the win, after Daniel Podence gave Wolves the lead after six minutes. It was an eventful affair on and off the pitch, with Jesse Marsch involved in a touchline altercation after the final whistle with Wolves boss Bruno Lage.
With the Whites picking up maximum points, LeedsLive has taken look at the Leeds United winners and losers of the opening round of Premier League fixtures.

Winners
Brenden Aaronson
The most impressive of the four Leeds debutants was Aaronson. The American caught the eye of supporters with his work-rate and creativity, and he thought he'd capped off a great display with a goal.
However, while Aaronson wheeled away in celebration after thinking he'd got the final touch on Patrick Bamford's cross for the winning goal, the goal was actually awarded to Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, who put the ball in his own net.
Aaronson received wide praise for his performance, with pundits Clinton Morrison and Ian Wright among the plaudits. Former Arsenal striker Wright said on Match of the Day: "He encompasses everything what Leeds are about. I think he is going to be probably one of those players that Leeds fans really take to very quickly."
Mateusz Klich
There has been plenty of speculation this summer surrounding the future of Klich. There have been suggestions that he may depart Elland Road this summer in the search for more game time, particularly with the World Cup on the horizon, where he will be hoping to get into Poland's squad for the tournament.
However, if he keeps performing like he did in his cameo against Wolves, Klich may get plenty of minutes at Elland Road this season. The midfielder replaced Rodrigo as a 65th minute substitute and had a game-changing impact.
Coming on with the game level at 1-1, Klich showed calmness on the ball, with Leeds scoring nine minutes after he came on. After the game, Marsch praised Klich's 'quality' in possession.
It remains to be seen whether Klich stays in Yorkshire beyond this transfer window, but his performance against Wolves will provide Marsch with food for thought.
Losers
VAR
It took just 15 minutes of the new season for Leeds supporters to be shaking their heads at a VAR decision, or the lack of one in this case. Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa appeared to clatter into Rasmus Kristensen after the full-back headed a ball across the face of goal.
The goalkeeper got nowhere near the ball, and Kristensen was left on the floor, receiving treatment after being crashed into by Sa. Referee Robert Jones didn't give a penalty, but VAR did take a look at the incident. However, after a short look, those at Stockley Park came to the decision that Sa didn't foul Kristensen, and no penalty was given.
Speaking on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday, Morrison was baffled by the decision to not give a penalty, claiming he had 'no faith' in VAR.

Southampton
The Whites' next opponents are Southampton, who suffered a heavy opening day defeat at Tottenham, losing 4-1. The Saints ended last season poorly, and they seem to have carried that form on into the new campaign.
They have recorded just one win in their last 13 games, conceding 34 goals in that period. The defeat at Spurs was littered with individual errors, which boss Ralph Hasenhuttl described as "simply not good enough at this level."
Marsch's side will be buoyed by their win over Wolves, and they could hardly be facing a team more out-of-form than Southampton. Leeds were defeated 1-0 by Southampton on their last visit to St Mary's.
