Leeds United signing Brenden Aaronson has revealed what jersey number he'd like to wear for Leeds United after joining the club last month. The young American joined from Red Bull Salzburg for £25million in what is Leeds' third most expensive signing ever. The transfer will be officially completed on July 1.
The Whites made several attempts to sign the 21-year-old in January but were unable to convince RB Salzburg to let him go mid-season. However, Victor Orta has managed to strike a deal with the Austrian champions early this summer, as Leeds prepare to make a slew of signings to improve on a squad which narrowly escaped relegation from the Premier League.
Aaronson will be joined by former teammate Rasmus Kristensen, who joined from the same club for £10million.

Once the transfer goes through, Aaronson will officially be registered as a Leeds player and will pick his squad number. And he has already revealed he's looking at two historic numbers.
When asked if he could take Raphinha's 10, Aaronson was quick to laugh it off.
Speaking on the In Soccer We Trust podcast, he said: "It hasn't been determined yet. I don't feel like I want the number 10 jersey - my favourite is 7 and I have also liked 11. I might wait for one of those to come up, so we'll see."
The number 7 is currently held by Ian Poveda, with 11 being donned by Tyler Roberts. Poveda spent an injury-hit last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, while Roberts saw his campaign end early through injury.
