Brendan Rodgers tells Liverpool the 'top' Arsenal player to watch out for

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has already identified which Arsenal player Liverpool should be wary of ahead of tonight's clash at the Emirates. The Reds face Mikel Arteta's side in a must-win game in the Premier League after title rivals Manchester City dropped points to Crystal Palace earlier in the week.

Liverpool have faced the Gunners three times already this season in both the league and cup competitions and they've won two and drawn one in that time. Now they're set to line-up against a much-improved Arsenal side battling for a top four finish and one player that has stood out is goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

The 23-year-old moved to London from Sheffield United last summer and is already closing in on 30 appearances for Arsenal. Only Ederson and Alisson have kept more clean sheets in the league than Ramsdale so far this season.

Rodgers was left impressed by the shot-stopper on Sunday as his side were defeated 2-0 away at the Emirates. At 1-0, Ramsdale produced a save of the season contender to deny Leicester's Harvey Barnes an equaliser and the Foxes boss was filmed saying 'wow' in reaction to stop.

Post-match, he heaped further praise on Ramsdale and says the England international has a 'nice calmness' to his game.

"For me he’s the best English keeper at the moment. I think he’s top," he said after the defeat. "His progression since he came to Arsenal, he’s playing for a huge club, different expectation with how to play football, I think he’s dealt with that really well.

"It looks like he’s come into the club here, he’s playing now with a calmness. We saw him earlier this season and he was jumping about, but now he’s got a really nice calmness to his game. He plays well with his feet, he makes saves, his save from Barnes looked in all the way, that was a great save and it kept Arsenal in front."
