Brendan Rodgers names Celtic starting XI to take on Aberdeen

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic starting XI to take on Aberdeen.

The Parkhead side know that they can move 16 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a victory over the Dons.

And having lost for only the second time domestically this season during their visit to Easter Road at the weekend, it seems inevitable that Rodgers' men will come out of the traps.

The Leith side walked away 2-1 winners on Saturday, with Josh Campbell's brace proving the difference between the teams.

Celtic fought back through Daizen Maeda, although it wasn't to be, as they fell to a rare defeat.

Aberdeen are the only opposition side to have scored at Parkhead in the league this season, and they make the trip to Glasgow having won their last three.

Here is how the teams line up...

CELTIC XI: Schmeichel, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty, Schlupp, McGregor, Engels, Hatate, Jota, Kuhn, Maeda.

Subs: Sinisalo, Scales, Idah, Yang, McCowan, Kenny, Murray, Ralston, Bonnar.

ABERDEEN XI: Doohan, Jensen, Tobers, Knoester, Mackenzie, Shinnie, Heltne Nilsen, Okkels, Keskinen, Nisbet, Dabbagh.

Subs: Mitov, Clarkson, Gueye, Palaversa, Morris, Dorrington, Boyd, Ambrose, Enem.
