Leicester City manager Brenden Rodgers has admitted the club can't do any more to convince James Maddison to stay at the King Power Stadium following their 4-1 demolition of Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.
Maddison captained the Foxes as he netted his ninth goal of the season in the rout, once again becoming Leicester's standout star for another Premier League campaign.
That being said, Rodgers made it clear he was unsure what the future holds for Maddison at the club after links with numerous other rival clubs, including Newcastle United.

The 26-year-old has constantly been linked with the Magpies following two reported bids from them in the summer transfer window last year and has more recently been rumoured to be of interest to Spurs and Manchester City.
With just one year remaining on his contract at the end of the season, the club is starting to realise that it'll be difficult to hold him down with a new deal if high-flying teams like Eddie Howe's side try to bring him onboard.
"No, [there’s nothing more Leicester can do to convince him]," Rodgers admitted after the win. "I think he knows how much he’s loved and the impact he’s had here.
"It’s just going to be about him and where he sees the next steps of his career. That’s nothing against the club or against anyone, he’s probably a player that wants to play at the very highest level and he’s showing he can do that.
"He’s a top, top player but in the meantime we’re not taking anything away from him, he’s very committed. You see him, he led them out, his chest was out and he absolutely loved it, it was right up his street."
