Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers believes that Chelsea's appointment of Graham Potter is a 'fantastic move' for Brighton's current boss.
Todd Boehly made the decision to sack Thomas Tuchel on Wednesday, and the American wasted no time contacting his ideal replacement.
The Blues announced the appointment of Potter in a statement on Thursday: "Chelsea Football Club is delighted to welcome Graham Potter as our new Head Coach, joining us on a five-year contract to bring his progressive football and innovative coaching to the Club.

"Potter is one of the most exciting coaches in the game, starting his journey in Sweden before bringing his talents to the English game over the past four seasons."
Rodgers, who spent time at Chelsea as the club's Academy head youth coach in the early stages of his career, thinks that the move is ideal for Potter moving forward.
As shared by Football Daily, the Foxes' boss said: "It looks like that's the next step for Graham and I think it's that next step for him going into that club where there's a different pressure. He's done fantastic at Brighton, a club that's really grown and developed since coming into the Premier League and [is] really strategically well run behind the scene and he's been able to then, on the field, bring the players in and do some great work with him.
"So, for him, I think it's that next step and if that comes off that will be a fantastic move for him going into a great club with so many good players."
To be backed by someone like Rodgers, who has been in and around the top clubs for a number of years, is no small feat. Potter will ultimately be relishing the opportunity to take charge of one of the Premier League's very best outfits.
