Brendan Rodgers in Celtic 'frame' for dramatic boss return as Jesse Marsch also eyed to replace Ange

Brendan Rodgers and Jesse March are 'two names in the frame' to replace Ange Postecoglou as Celtic manager.

The Australian has been granted permission to speak with Tottenham about their managerial vacancy and he looks poised to be confirmed this week. That leaves a major position to fill at Celtic Park and Sky Sports news claim that former boss Rodgers and ex-Leeds United gaffer Marsch could be that man, with the club 'already working on Postecoglou's potential successor.'

It would be a dramatic return to Glasgow for the former boss. Despite winning everything there is to win domestically during his tenure - including the overseeing of a Treble Treble. But his exit to Leicester City midway through the 2018/19 season has sparked a rift some fans have been unable to heal and his return would be contentious. Marsch meanwhile won plaudits for high-tempo football during time at Red Bull Salzburg.

He took over from Marcelo Biela at Leeds last year and kept them up. And after his sacking this term, the club went through two more managers before ultimately getting relegated.
