Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers believes Aaron Ramsdale is the 'best' English goalkeeper at the moment.
Ramsdale put in another impressive display for Arsenal as the Gunners kept a clean sheet and recorded a 2-0 win over the Foxes at Emirates Stadium.
The England shot stopper made a couple of superb saves to deny Harvey Barnes and preserve Arsenal's lead and ensure his team continue their chase for a top four spot.
Thomas Partey gave Arsenal the lead after 11 minutes as he headed in Gabriel Martinelli's corner, before a second half penalty from Alexandre Lacazette sealed the win.
"For me he’s the best English keeper at the moment," said Rodgers after the game.
"I think he’s top. His progression since he’s come into Arsenal. He looks like he’s growing now he’s here.
"He’s got a really nice calmness to his game, plays well with his feet and makes great saves."
Ramsdale revealed before the match that the player he fears playing against the most is Leicester star Jamie Vardy, who was ruled out of the game through injury.
“The one I hate playing against most is Jamie Vardy," he said.
"The guy just doesn’t stop running. I’d love to have him on my team, hate playing against him. I’ve played against him five times now, he’s scored four times.”
Arsenal have now won nine of their last 11 league games and are hoping to secure qualification to next season's Champions League after a five-year absence.
