Brendan Rodgers has explained why he chose to leave Daizen Maeda out of his Celtic squad to face Dundee this evening.
The Japanese winger plus fellow wide man Nicolas Kuhn both missed the Hoops' 4-1 away win at Ross County last time out, and the Celtic manager had hoped to have them both available for the trip to Dens Park.
But despite making three changes to his starting line-up from Dingwall, neither are present in it.
Kuhn begins on the bench, while Maeda has been allowed to keep his feet up at home as he recovers from a minor setback.

Explaining his selection, Rodgers told BBC Sportsound: "With all the games that we have, proving the energy in a key area for us in midfield.
"Not too many changes but looking to keep it fresh. When there's so many games in a tight space then it's something that I always have to consider.
"We were hoping that he [Maeda] could make the bench and be ready for the weekend, but he's just stayed at home. He will continue with his rehab and will be available for the weekend."
