Brendan Rodgers has heaped praise on Mikel Arteta ahead of Leicester City's Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners have enjoyed a solid run of form under Arteta's stewardship, winning eight of their last ten league outings, the joint-best in the league during that time.
And the north Londoners' recent displays haven't gone unnoticed, with Rodgers claiming that the Spaniard has done an excellent job this term.
“Mikel (Arteta) has done an excellent job,” Rodgers said ahead of this afternoon's match.
“This year they haven’t been in Europe that has helped them settle and they’ve used the coaching time really well.
“They have some young players. They’ve used that time well.
“If they can keep their players fit and available they should be in a really strong position to finish where they want to.”
Arteta also took time to praise Rodgers during his pre-match press conference on Friday, claiming that the Foxes have impressed in recent weeks.
"Well I agree that they’ve been much more consistent in terms of performances and results," he said when asked about the east Midlands club's recent results.
"It’s a team that has come a long, long way and I think Brendan [Rodgers] and the coaching staff have done exceptional work, they have a lot of injuries as well, I believe this season, plus the Covid issues that we’ve all been through, it’s a difficult mixture and it’s been difficult for all managers, but as you said, they’re now in a better moment."
