Kolo Toure says working with Brendan Rodgers at Celtic will prove to be invaluable when it comes to the task of managing Wigan Athletic.
The ex-Hoops star has landed his first permanent managerial role at the DW Stadium, after working alongside former Celtic and Liverpool gaffer Brendan Rodgers during his time in Glasgow. Toure, who also made over ten appearances at Parkhead including in massive Champions League action, joined the backroom staff at Lennoxtown after he hung up his boots in 2017.
The pair then made the move to English Premier League side Leicester City in 2019, after Rodgers took the decision to leave Celtic following three trophy-laden years in Glasgow. Toure was appointed first team coach with the Foxes, but has now landed the role at Wigan and admits he couldn't be happier.
