Brenda Edwards has spoken about the time Ed Sheeran, who was firm friends with her late son Jamal, lived with her and her family for a few months before he made the big time.
Appearing on Lorraine Kelly's morning show on ITV, Brenda spoke about her brand new fashion line, Be U with QVC, Jamal's legacy and the impact he made on so many people's lives - including the F64 singer and songwriter.
During the Lorraine segment, the Loose Women star told the 63-year-old Scottish host that Jamal had helped so many people and gave them their first break and said: "Jamal was a very loyal person and was all about giving the everybody else."

Jamal ran the media company SB.TV and now Brenda's daughter is working with Sheeran to continue her brother's work.
Brenda went on to say: "Jamal and Ed were like brothers from other mothers and my house was one of the places that Ed stayed before he was 'Ed Sheeran'. So I just call him Ed, because he is part of the family. And I remember the day when Jamal was like 'Oh mum, my friend wants to stay. Can he stay for a bit?'. And I was like: 'Okay, well where's he going to go?'
"Cause our house isn't a big house. Him and Ed they shared his room and it was a couple of months that he was there. And we were just eating rice, peas and chicken and enjoying life. I love Ed to death and I'm so greatful that he chose to come and do F64 for the launch [of her new brand]."
She added how her family are still "kind of living a nightmare" just over a year after Jamal passed away after suffering a heart attack, and said how "it's always just about how you pick yourself up and dust your shoulder off."
Brenda, in doing so, has just launched a brand new fashion collection that is inclusive of all shapes and sizes and debuted a new short-haired look on Lorraine - "I got rid of the dead ends of my hair and I thought, let me come with a new look, a new launch and range and I'll just be me and feel very empowered," adding: "It's a new chapter."
Lorraine airs on ITV on weekdays at 9am.
