Brenda Blethyn has let slip some big news about Vera's future, just as viewers fume at ITV for pulling the new series from screens with two episodes remaining.
The pause button was hit on series 11 back in September, due to the rest of the episodes still being in production, before Vera returned earlier this month, with the third and fourth parts pulling in audiences of close to five million.
After being gripped by high drama at South Shields' Ocean Beach theme park and by the coast, Vera fans were hoping and expecting more of the same in the weeks to come.

So it came as a surprise when Vera was nowhere to be seen on the ITV schedule on Sunday night, with it making room for the return of The Good Karma Hospital and the launch of Vicky McClure thriller Trigger Point.
Fans were both confused and annoyed with ITV for cancelling Vera with no warning and two feature length episodes still in the locker, with salt then being rubbed into the wounds with the news that viewers in the US could watch all of series 11, including the remaining episodes, on BritBox.
And now, in response to a question from a fan on Twitter who was worried there'd be no more Vera, Brenda has confirmed not only are there two more episodes of series 11 still to come on ITV, but that filming will begin on some more in March.
Replying to a tweet, the BAFTA winner and Oscar nominee wrote: "There are 2 episodes still to be shown and we start filming 4 more in march. yaaaaaay!"
Brenda's many followers were quick to react with delight, with one telling her: "Best news EVER!!!"
Another commented: "Thank you Brenda and team...best news in ages," with a third tweeting: "I have just watched the last 2 Series can l just say you and the team are brilliant so pleased to hear you start filming again In March. Long may Vera continue."
