Influencer Breckie Hill has broken her silence on the rumours that alleged she was the cause behind Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter‘s reported breakup.
Over the last week, the celebrity goss world has been buzzing following news of a split between “Please Please Please” power couple Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter.
Amidst all the breakup hullabaloo, Breckie Hill — who boasts more than 4.3 million followers on TikTok — began fuelling rumours that she homewrecked Barry and Sabrina’s relationship by reposting videos analysing theories of the alleged love triangle.

On Sunday (Australia time), the influencer took to the video platform, addressing the rumours and why she reposted multiple videos on the alleged affair in a two-minute-long TikTok.
Breckie began her TikTok by sharing that she’d been MIA due to a skiing accident where she broke her spine. However, she’s taking some time out of her recovery to address the explosive cheating rumours.
“To put it simply for you all, no, I did not get with Barry. I have never even encountered this man in my life. The only time I’ve seen him is on my TV screen from watching Saltburn,” the influencer began.
When reflecting on why she was reposting the cheating rumours videos, Breckie claimed that she only did it due to the absurdity of the claims.
“I’m sorry, but if I really was the one getting with Barry why in the world would I be reposting about it? What I will say, though, is coming from someone who has been cheated on in several different relationships, I would never want to homewreck any relationship, or put any girl through that pain,” she continued.
Breckie then added that the rumours seemingly stemmed from a Snapchat where she was reviewing margaritas at BoA’s steakhouse, claiming that someone thought she might’ve been referencing Saltburn when she said a drink was “too salty”.
“Like this whole story is so crazy and then another drink I was reviewing happened to be called a ‘Blackberry Smash’ on the BOA steakhouse menu, which this person then thought was also a Barry reference,” Breckie added.
“The whole thing is like crazy to me, but I was truly just reposting these videos laying in a hospital bed thinking how crazy it is that someone thought I was home wrecking Sabrina.”
Before concluding her statement, the influencer added that she’s having the worst time recovering from a broken spine and being called nasty words as a result of the rumours.
“I hope that we can all stop spreading rumours so quickly and tearing other people down, especially without knowing the facts. I would say, almost a majority of things that are said on the internet are not true,” she said before wrapping up her video.
“Take everything you see on the internet with a grain of salt and just be kind love you guys.”
Breckie’s statement has seemingly been flooded with support, with many folks apologising, wishing her a speedy recovery and cracking jokes that involve the word “salt”.
How did Breckie Hill get dragged into the Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter breakup rumours?
Prior to Breckie reposting videos where celebrity sleuths accused her of being the other woman in Barry and Sabrina’s relationship, a blind item from Deuxmoi claimed that the actor had been getting cosy with “a blonde, semi-famous LA-based influencer (who’s particularly big on TikTok)”.
Unfortunately, that description fit Breckie’s whole persona, which then led fans to think it was her.
Tiying that in with the Snapchat Stories and TikTok reposts, fans immediately thought that she was confirming the rumours to be true.
What has Barry Keoghan said about the split?
The influencer’s statement came hours after Barry dropped his own on X (formerly Twitter), revealing why he deactivated Instagram and calling for respect from fans.
“I can only sit and take so much,” the actor began.
“My name has been dragged across the internet in ways I usually don’t respond to. I have to respond now because it’s getting to a place where there are too many lines being crossed.
“I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract me from my family and my work.”
Within his notes app statement, the actor claimed that he’d been receiving vile messages from stans and that fans had begun showing up to where his family lives.
“Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine,” he continued.
“Talking about how I was a heroine baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also. Knocking on my granny’s door. Sitting outside my baby boy’s house intimidating them. That’s crossing a line.”
Towards the end of his statement, Barry focused on his two-year-old son Brando, pleading with fans to keep him in mind when they write terrible things about him.
“Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy,” he wrote.
“I want to provide opportunities for him to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what.
“I need you to remember he has to read ALL of this about his father when he is older.”
Despite the lengthy statement, Barry did not address the split nor any cheating rumours.
What has Sabrina Carpenter said about the split?
While Barry and Breckie have dropped their own statements, the “Taste” singer has yet to come forward with any tea about her current relationship status.
However, with Netflix dropping her iconic Christmas Special, A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter, it appears that the rising pop icon is waaay too booked and busy to give a man a piece of her time (especially that one)!
