Vodafone down as hundreds of frustrated customers unable to use internet or text

Vodafone appears to be down as hundreds of frustrated customers claim they are unable to call or text.

A total of 151 complaints have been logged on service checker, Downdetector with customers saying their usage across calls and messages are being affected.

Reports initially began at around 3pm today as issues appear to be affecting the south and parts of the midlands.

Many vented their frustration on Twitter, with one user saying" "For some reason we can’t send texts?" As another replied, "I can’t send texts either."

Users said they were unable to make calls and texts (PA)

One angry user claimed issues had been ongoing on their device, saying: "I’m SICK of your network Vodafone, usually I have lots of issues streaming radio, but now my texts won’t send.

"This is the latest in the non stop issues I have. SORT IT OUT."
