Steven Bergwijn has completed a permanent move to Ajax, with a fee believed to be around £27.8million agreed. Cameron Carter-Vickers became Tottenham's first outgoing of the summer, as he made the permanent move to Celtic, after a successful loan spell.
It was only a month ago that the Dutch international expressed his want to leave this summer. "I just have to go play, but I want to leave Spurs now, that's for sure," he admitted.
"Whether it is important that my new club plays in the Champions League? That's not even top priority. Though it would be nice. What's important is that I'm going to play."

Bergwijn also explained why he didn't make the move in the January window. "I wasn't allowed to leave Spurs in the winter and then I didn't have any problems," he said. "The last few months I was hardly looked after there. Now I want to play somewhere weekly."
The 24-year-old made more than 80 appearances for Spurs, scoring eight goal and registering ten assists. One of his most memorable moments in a Tottenham shirt came just last season, when he scored an injury time brace at the King Power Stadium, to secure his side three points against Leicester.
However Bergwijn has struggled to get regular game time under Antonio Conte, often finding himself below Lucas Moura in the pecking order. His opportunities of regular match minutes wouldn't have become easier next season, with the arrival of Richarlison and therefore a permanent move away would seem best for all parties.
The Dutch international was spotted outside Amsterdam UMC hospital on Wednesday morning, ahead of his expected medical.
There are expected to be a number of other outgoings this summer, so Conte can start the 2022/23 campaign with strongest and most cohesive squad possible and the departures begin with Bergwijn returning to the club he spent a couple of years at, during his youth career.
Bergwijn has signed a five-year contract with Ajax, running until the summer of 2027.
