The Las Vegas Raiders have found their next head coach. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Pete Carroll has agreed to a three-year deal to become the team’s head coach. There is also a team option in the fourth year.
Carroll, 73, did not coach in 2024 after stepping down from his role as the Seattle Seahawks’ head coach. He went into an advisory role with the Seahawks but will now be back on the sideline in 2025.
The Raiders had a vacancy after firing Antonio Pierce this offseason following a 4-13 season in his first year with Las Vegas. This will be the fourth head coaching opportunity for Carroll in the NFL after spending one year with the Jets in 1994, three with the Patriots from 1997-1999 and 14 with the Seahawks from 2010-2023.

In his career, Carroll has a 170-120-1 record as a head coach in the NFL. He’s gone 11-11 in the playoffs and has won Super Bowl win, which came with the Seahawks in 2013. He also led Seattle to the Super Bowl the following year but lost to the New England Patriots, 28-24.
