A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with a 'severe head injury' after a crash in Trafford.
Emergency services - including the air ambulance - rushed to the scene on Clay Lane, in Timperley near the border with Bowdon, after the smash this morning (Friday). The crash involved a car and a motorbike and happened just after 8am.
The rider, aged in his 20s, suffered a severe head injury, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed. He was taken to hospital by road.

Several police officers remain at the scene. It has not yet been confirmed whether any arrests have been made.
The road is currently shut near to Bowdon Rugby Club. According to Transport for Greater Manchester, it is closed in both directions between Dobbinetts Lane and Wellfield Lane.
A GMP spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and car at 8.11am. One man has been taken to hospital."
In a statement, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We responded to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and car. The ride, a man in his 20s, has suffered a severe head injury and has been taken to hospital by road.
"An air ambulance also supported NWAS crews with treatment of the casualty at the scene."
