A person has been 'struck by a train' between Rutherglen and Glasgow Central train station.
Emergency services were called to the scene this morning.
Scotrail have advised that several train services have been delayed or cancelled due to the incident.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: “Some services in the Glasgow area are subject to delay and alterations. Sadly, this is due to a person being struck by a train.
“We have arranged for valid train tickets to be accepted on the Glasgow Subway system to keep customers moving.
“Anyone affected by this incident can contact Samaritans for free of charge, any time, from any phone, on 116 123.”
Scotrail announced via their Twitter page: "We have emergency services dealing with an incident between Glasgow Central low level and Rutherglen. We are working closely with them during this time and will keep you updated."
It added: “Trains from Cumbernauld and Dalmuir Via Motherwell, Dalmuir and Larkhall, as well as Dalmuir and Whifflet have all been affected by the incident.”
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Argyle Street station at 10.03am this morning (13 December) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and a man has been taken to hospital for treatment.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
