Nationwide building society users have been unable to pay their bills due to a software outage this morning.
Customers have reported issues with transferring funds and online and mobile banking, according to the website DownDetector.
The issue meant some Brits could not get their salary payments and settle their bills.
One Twitter user said: "Is there any certainty that it will be fixed today? Because if not then I can’t get my wages and therefore can’t pay my bills."
Customers started reporting problems at around 4am this morning.
Issues were flagged up all over the country, with hotspots in London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

"Transactions are being temporarily queued while we get services back to normal and will be processed as soon as possible. All other services are working."

Another customer of the building society said: "[This is the] second time this has happened recently, have two young kids to feed and I can't get access to my money."
Nationwide said customers can still use their cards to pay for goods and services, access internet and mobile banking and withdraw cash from ATMs.
The Nationwide spokesperson added: "No member will be left out of pocket as a result of this issue and all associated Nationwide fees and charges will be refunded.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Nationwide last reported an IT outage on the final day of 2021, The Mirror reported.
The bank confirmed some payments due to hit accounts overnight were delayed - leaving some customers waiting for their money.
One person complained on social media, saying: “I am waiting on my wages and nada, is this a Nationwide issue?
“I don’t want to start contacting my work if this isn’t an issue with Nationwide, from what I have seen it’s lots of people with the same.”
A second tweeted: "So Nationwide is down again and I'm yet again waiting for the wages to go in. I have bills to pay this is unacceptable."
There was a similar problem on December 21, 2021, causing issues for some customers in the lead-up to Christmas.
At the time, Nationwide customers had problems transferring funds (57%), getting into mobile banking (21%) and using online banking services (22%).
