BREAKING: Michigan State has served notice to Mel Tucker that it plans to fire him for cause

In the aftermath of a sexual harassment investigation that was well-documented by USA TODAY, Michigan State revealed on Monday it has officially notified MSU football head coach Mel Tucker that it plans to fire him for cause.

On Monday, MSU athletic director and Vice President Alan Haller released a statement regarding Tucker’ employment status, which you can read below:

According to the statement, Tucker will have seven days to respond and present reasons he should not be terminated for cause.

Unless something incredibly surprising happens, this signals the end of the Mel Tucker era at Michigan State.
