A woman has been taken to hospital for treatment after a “huge” car crash involving a police vehicle, which blocked a road in north London.
At least 15 emergency services including ambulances and fire engines, are at the scene on the A10 High Road in Tottenham.
Eye witnesses reported a police car was involved in the incident.
They added they saw someone being taken to hospital.
The serious incident happened at around 5.30pm, close to the junction with the Seven Sisters underground station.
A spokesman for the Met Police confirmed one of the force's vehicles was involved in the accident.
They added: "At approximately 17:35hrs on Tuesday, 26 April a police vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle in High Road, N15 near the junction with Broad Lane.
"London Ambulance Service attended and a woman who was in the other vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment; at this early stage it is not thought she is seriously injured.
"No reports of any other injuries.
"Road closures were put in place while the scene was dealt with."
As a result of the crash motorists in north London have been warned of long delays in the area as crews work on the scene.
