Jackass star Bam Margera is reportedly battling a serious case of pneumonia and is being treated in an intensive care unit.
The 43-year-old former professional skateboarder was hospitalised in San Diego earlier this week. He tested positive for Covid-19 while in hospital which has complicated his condition, according to TMZ.
Bam's condition is said to be stable.
Pneumonia is swelling of the tissue in one or both lungs and it's usually caused by a bacterial infection or a virus. Symptoms can develop suddenly and include a cough, difficulty breathing, a high temperature and a rapid heartbeat.
Fans have taken to Twitter to offer their well wishes to the stunt performer, with one person writing: "I’m wishing Bam Margera a quick and speedy recovery."
Another said: "Pray for Bam margera, i hope you get better soon," while a third commented: "Awww man, poor @BAM__MARGERA I hope he feels better soon! I pray for his family."
"Sorry to learn and wish Bam a speedy recovery," penned another fan.
The Mirror has contacted Bam's representatives for comment.
The TV personality has been in and out of rehab centres over the past year as he completed a one-year treatment program for drug and alcohol abuse.
Back in June, Bam had been reported 'missing' after fleeing a rehab centre in Florida.
Police sent out a search party after he reportedly fled the rehabilitation centre, and at the time, his rehab manager reported the star missing after he told staff at the centre that he was 'unhappy' with the place and 'their services'.
After Bam was found, speculation about his wellbeing began to circulate among fans as they started to question whether the much-loved star had been placed under a conservatorship by his family.
Bam's family later released a statement denying that he is under any kind of conservatorship.
Taking to Instagram, they said: "It's no secret that Bam has struggled with mental health and addiction. You've watched Ban grow up and supported him through his ups and downs.
"Our family has let you into the chaos that is our home, and we want nothing more than to continue this journey together."
The statement went on to address the 'Free Bam movement', explaining that it had 'caused confusion and threat to Bam' and his family.
