Harry Kane breaks Thierry Henry goal record after scoring Tottenham's fifth vs Everton

Harry Kane is now ahead of Thierry Henry in the all-time Premier League goal scoring charts after his brace against Everton on Monday evening.

The 28-year-old scored his 175th goal in the competition in the first-half after breaking the Toffees' high-line and the Spurs striker then netted for the 176th time early into the second-half with a superb finish from a tight angle as the hosts went 5-0 up against the visitors.

Kane is now sixth in the all-time goal scoring charts, sitting one behind Everton manager Frank Lampard, rather ironically.

Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero sits in fourth with 184 goals, Andy Cole on 187, Wayne Rooney on 208 and then Alan Shearer way out in front on 260.

Kane is still 84 goals behind Shearer's all-time record, but the Tottenham striker, during an interview in BT Sport’s What I Wore series, admitted he is looking at the figure with plenty of interest.

He said: "I think it’s there to be done. Obviously, it’s still 90 odd goals to get there, but it’s definitely an aim to try and reach it.

"Obviously I feel like I’ve still got many more years of my career to go and it will be incredible. Shearer was an incredible striker, incredible No 9.

"So even to be close now is great, but for sure it’s definitely something that I want to try and achieve."

Kane will be hoping he can beat, or at least equal, Lampard's tally of 177 goals when Tottenham travel to top four rivals Manchester United at the weekend in what is now a crucial outing for Antonio Conte's men.

In his 16 matches in all competitions against Man United, Kane has only netted on two occasions, while providing one assist along the way.
