Every SINGLE thing Rishi Sunak promised in the Tory leadership election is up for review and could be ditched, Downing Street admitted today.
In a bizarre development, No10 would not commit to anything the Prime Minister pledged to Conservative members just three months ago.
He has already ditched his pledges to fine patients £10 for missed NHS appointments and hold migrants on cruise ships.
Mr Sunak also U-turned and reimposed the fracking ban despite signalling some support in summer.
Asked today if every single leadership election pledge was up for review, the PM's Press Secretary replied: “We’re looking at all of them and considering whether now is the right time… to take them forward.”
She said the PM was "considering all of them, taking time to make sure what is deliverable" as they were made "months ago now".
The press secretary said Mr Sunak will be meeting with all cabinet minister to discuss the promises.
She added: "On the campaign pledges we’re reviewing them all and ensuring the right decisions are made at the right time."
The Press Secretary added he stands by "the promise of" the 2019 manifesto - but refused to say he stands by every promise in it.
The admission is likely to fuel fresh calls for an election after the Tories became the first party of government since the Second World War to change their leader twice without an election.
Seven days ago at his first PMQs, Rishi Sunak accused Keir Starmer of going back on the pledges he made during the Labour leadership contest in 2020.
He said: "This summer, I was being honest about the difficulties that we are facing. But when [Starmer] ran for leader, he promised his party he would borrow billions and billions of pounds. I told the truth for the good for the country, he told his party what they wanted to hear."
This morning Mr Sunak U-turned and decided to attend the COP27 climate summit in Egypt, days after the PM faced intense criticism.
No10 had said last week the Prime Minister was instead concentrating on "pressing domestic commitments" including next month's Autumn Statement.
But on Wednesday, Mr Sunak said: "There is no long-term prosperity without action on climate change. There is no energy security without investing in renewables.
"That is why I will attend Cop27 next week: to deliver on Glasgow's legacy of building a secure and sustainable future."
He is expected to attend talks with world leaders on Monday, pushing to achieve aims such as ending deforestation by 2030.
A Labour spokesman said: "The Government is in total chaos.
"You have a situation where one of the Prime Minister's pledges in the leadership election ... was ending the 'hotel farce' as he described it, and yet just now in PMQs you have had the Prime Minister bragging about the number of hotel places that he has agreed in the time that he has been Prime Minister."
