Breaking down Al Horford’s career-high playoff game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks

Boston Celtics veteran big man Al Horford dropped 30 points in the Celtics’ big win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 4 of their East semis series on Monday night, Horford having the best playoff game of his career against the Bucks. The Florida product led the charge late as the Celtics managed to pull off a comeback to steal the critical win in a 116-108 victory.

Horford had 16 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 30-point playoff high for the 35-year-old. The Celtics vet said Giannis Antetokounmpo’s staredown after he dunked on him “sort of flipped a switch” for him. As the former Gator walked back up the court, he just nodded his head and said “OK” as he looked in Antetokounmpo’s direction.

“The way he was looking at me and the way he was going about things, it didn’t sit right with me,” Horford said. “And yeah, that sort of flipped a switch at that moment.”

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast weighed in on Horford’s historic night and why he was the catalyst in essentially saving the Celtics’ season, preventing them from going down 3-1.
