Breaking Dad: Everything you need to know as Bradley Walsh and son Barney take on epic American road trip

The Chase star Bradley Walsh has the perfect start to your New Year with a new four-part series.

Walsh and his son Barney embarked on the ultimate bonding trip as they ditched the UK and headed to the United States for a massive roadtrip.

Driving from Los Angeles to New Orleans, Walsh and his lookalike son keep each other entertained for the 2,000 mile journey and take in the new experiences America has to throw at them.

What is Breaking Dad all about?

The four-part series documents the duo’s holiday abroad, with Bradley fancying a relaxing trip and Barney having other ideas about how to spend hours under the hot son.

As they trek across the vast country, Barney challenges his dad to all sorts of things – including skydiving, hanging out with alligators and training to be a cowboy.

In another challenge, Walsh is left wishing that the TARDIS would come and take him away as he’s lifted up by muscled beach trainers after Barney arranges for him to take part in a PT session.

Who are Bradley and Barney Walsh?

Best known as The Chase host, Bradley has been entertaining viewers for decades with him comedic personality and witty way with words. He is also no stranger to the small screen, having starred as Danny Baldwin in Coronation Street and currently a companion of the Thirteenth Doctor.

Barney, 21, is also an actor and has starred in big hitters including Doctors and Law & Order UK.
