Chelsea face Norwich City with sponsors Three on the front of their kit

Chelsea's shirt has the 'Three' logo on the front of it despite a statement from the telecommunications company earlier today.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich has now been added to the UK government's sanction list - making his sale of the club a whole lot more complicated.

Earlier in the day, following the news of the sanctions, mobile company Three, whose logo appears on the front of the Chelsea shirt, revealed its request to suspend its partnership with the west London club.

A spokesperson for the company said: "In light of the government's recently announced sanctions, we have requested Chelsea Football Club temporarily suspend our sponsorship of the club, including the removal of our brand from shirts and around the stadium until further notice.

"We recognise that this decision will impact the many Chelsea fans who follow their team passionately. However, we feel that given the circumstances, and the Government sanctions that is in place, it is the right thing to do."

So, despite uncertainty whether the Three logo would appear on the Chelsea shirt tonight at Carrow Road, it was confirmed when the players walked out onto the pitch.

Thomas Tuchel will be doing his best to keep his focus about what happens to the Blues on the field of play following the uncertainty going on behind the scenes, with the German coach fielding a strong team at Norwich.

Here is the Chelsea XI for the Premier League clash: Edouard Mendy, Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen; Cesar Azpilicueta, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Saul; Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner.

Werner has been handed a rare start, with the German appearing from kick-off for the first time in the Premier League since the 3-2 win against Leeds United back in December.
