Chelsea have confirmed the latest appointment to their recruitment team with the addition of Christopher Vivell as technical director. He was previously responsible for recruitment at RB Leipzig.
Vivell's appointment has long been expect with football.london reporting in October that he was set to arrive at Stamford Bridge having left the Bundesliga side. The newly appointed German also spent five years with RB Salzburg as head of scouting and recruitment and has served as a scout at Hoffenheim.
He is the latest appointment to a recruitment team that has already seen Joe Shields, Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart announced since Todd Boehly completed his takeover. Vivell spoke glowinly of the project that the Blues are developing upon his appointment.

Boehly and co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali confirmed that Vivell will provide support to head coach Graham Potter in addition to the ownership group in his role.

We are confident he will continue on his impressive trajectory here at Chelsea. He will provide important support to Graham and the ownership group and play a vital part in advancing our overall vision for the club."
