Six years after she left the awards clutching an armful of gongs, Adele made her return to the BRITs as she competed with other musical masterminds including Dave, Ed Sheeran and Sam Fender.

Her BRITs appearance comes after the music icon was devastated to have had to postpone her Las Vegas shows last month.

At the 11th hour, Adele confirmed she would fly to the UK to perform at the BRITs – after leaving bosses in limbo over the past few weeks.

The Hello hitmaker – who tearfully shelved her Las Vegas residency – said she was 'looking forward' to the ceremony when she dropped the unexpected bombshell last week.

“You can’t focus if you’re not where you need to be in your head.”

Adele took to Instagram to share the devastating news that her shows were due to be postponed as Covid swept her team.

In her emotional video message posted on Instagram, a teary Adele said: "I'm so sorry, but my show ain't ready.

"We've tried absolutely everything that we can to pull it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID," she said, adding that "half my team are down with" the virus.

Adele had been due to perform 24 shows at Caesars Palace Hotel following the release of her fourth album, 30.
