Breaking Bad star Dean Norris hailed a 'legend' as he visits iconic Dublin chipper

Breaking Bad star Dean Norris delighted staff when he visited the iconic Dublin chipper Leo Burdock in Christchurch yesterday.

The 60-year-old American actor is best known for his role as DEA agent Hank Schrader. On the Emmy-award winning Netflix show, Hank was also the brother-in-law and sometimes enemy of main character Walter White played by Brian Cranston and his pal Jesse Pinkman played by Aaron Paul.

Dean Norris paid a visit to the 110-year old chipper Leo Burdock in Christchurch on Monday. He was called a "legend" by staff at the popular chipper and happily beamed in a pic with staff.

Taking to social media, Leo Burdocks wrote: "Another legend @deanjnorris dropping into the flagship @leoburdockchrist Christchurch." In the photo accompanying the post, owner of Leo Burdock Charlie McGrachan and another staff member were all smiles as they posed alongside Dean Norris.

Irish social media users were delighted to see the American star visit the capital. One person commented: "Fantastic actor. Loved him as Hank in Breaking Bad."

A second said: "He looks like a genuinely cool guy. Hope he enjoyed his meal at Leo Burdock."

A third person joked: "Walter is down the road hiding in Supermacs."

He wasn't the only Breaking Bad star enjoying Dublin's sights and scenery in recent days. Fellow actor Giancarlo Esposito was spotted enjoying a swim at Forty Foot the popular swimming spot in Sandycove on Sunday.

Esposito is best known for playing drugs kingpin Gus Fring in both Breaking Bad and its spin-off show Better Call Saul.

The 65-year-old American actor is currently in Ireland for "a new project coming up soon. He wrote on Twitter: "Visiting my buds in Ireland! So much love! 1st day on set for a new project coming up soon!

"Am I ready? You bet I am! More to come!

"Also got to hang with the Irish young bucks at "Forty Foot", I love the f***in' Irish!"

Along with images from The Forty Foot, Giancarlo showed that he was enjoying exploring the city with pics from Trinity College too.
