Breaking Bad could be set for a revival, five years after the hit show ended, with a potential film on the horizon.
The hit American drama series, which officially ended in 2013, sees high-school chemistry teacher Walter White battling terminal cancer.
In a desperate bid to earn as much money as possible before he dies White, later known as Heisenberg, befriends Jesse Pinkman who he works with to curate a meth lab on wheels.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the much-adored show could be gearing up for a flick, set at an undisclosed point in the Breaking Bad timeline and could even be a prequel like Better Call Saul.
The publication has reported that the working title could be Greenbrier, although details are minimal.
It is yet to be announced whether any of the original stars will be a part of the supposed two-hour production, including Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.
Show creator Vince Gilligan has been tipped to pen the script and possibly even executive produce and direct.
Better Call Saul executive producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein are also said to be attached to the project, which it is believed will follow the escape of a kidnapped man.
Better Call Saul’s fourth season was unveiled earlier this year, meeting with the Breaking Bad era and welcoming Jimmy McGill’s alias Saul Goodman.
Star of the series Bob Odenkirk previously revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the forthcoming seasons of the show may be set after the events of Breaking Bad which raises questions about when the potential film would be set.
