Ange Postecoglou has been confirmed as Tottenham Hotspur's new head coach. The Australian takes on the hotseat at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium signing a four-year contract, following two incredibly successful years in Scotland with Celtic.
The appointment of the 57-year-old brings Daniel Levy's long search to find Antonio Conte's successor to an end. Parting with the Italian at the end of March following a dreadful run of form, Postecoglou is now tasked with getting Tottenham back on the up and competing for silverware once again.
Amid question marks over his appointment at Celtic Park two years ago, the former Australia manager led the Hoops to five trophies from a possible six in his two years in the east end of Glasgow. Having won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup in his first season in the job, last Saturday saw Postecoglou and his team complete the treble after they won the Scottish Cup final following a 3-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden Park.

Known for playing attacking and entertaining football at Celtic, Postecoglou ticks a number of boxes for Levy and Tottenham. His experience of also having to undergo a major rebuild at Celtic Park could also prove vital as Spurs themselves need to make some major changes to their playing squad in order to go forward again.
A managerial search that surpassed two months, a whole host of managers were linked with the Tottenham hotseat following Conte's exit eight days on from the Lilywhites surrendering a 3-1 lead at Southampton. Mauricio Pochettino, Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Arne Slot and Roberto De Zerbi were just some of the names mentioned in regard to the Spurs vacancy, but it is Postecoglou who will now help lead the club as they enter a brand new era after a dismal couple of seasons in north London.
Following the appointment of the Australian, Tottenham now need to appoint a new managing director of football after Fabio Paratici's exit in April. Postecoglou will soon discover his first Premier League opponents in the 2023/24 campaign with next season's fixtures due to be released on Thursday, June 15.
