Brazen masked yobs gave a security camera the thumbs up before callously smashing up equipment at a vital Scots community hub.
Cops confirmed they have received reports of the sick vandals wrecking washing machines outside Fairfield Pavilion, Drumgieth Road in Dundee, at 9:40am on Monday January 23 .
Officers have now launched a probe into the incident and are appealing to anyone who recognises the culprits to come forward.
The footage shows the hooded thugs, with masks covering their faces, approaching washing machines outside the building.
The yobs notice the CCTV camera and walk towards it before brazenly giving a thumbs up gesture. One then removes a pole from a rucksack and waves it around, before returning to the washing machines.
They use the pole as a weapon and begin striking at the machines and then walk around the corner and out of sight of the camera.
The Record understands the community centre has been plagued by vandalism with the washing machines targeted in another incident earlier this month.
Police have since launched a probe into the incident and are appealing to anyone with any information to get in touch.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 9.40am on Monday we received a report of vandalism to equipment at Fairfield Pavilion, Drumgieth Road, Dundee.
“Inquiries are ongoing. If anyone knows who is responsible, please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 0699 of January 23.”
